Auto Expire a User Role Access

Description

FAST security expiry dates revoke access based on the date entered, but the date is not inclusive. Access ends at 11:59 PM on the day before the expiry date. For example, if you enter March 19 as the expiry date, the user’s access will end at 11:59 PM on March 18. This is especially useful for temporary access, such as when someone is performing a short-term replacement for an employee on leave. You can set an expiry date when assigning security so access is automatically removed when the replacement period ends, without requiring manual follow-up. To configure a user’s access to automatically expire, navigate to Administration > Access > User/Role Assignment. Enter the person’s ID in the User ID filter and run the report. For each role that should expire, set the appropriate Expiry Date.
