Create a Dashboard Color Palette

As an administrator, you may want to ensure all dashboards reflect your organization’s official colors for a consistent look across applications. To create a new color palette in FAST for use in dashboards, follow these steps: 1. **Access Site Administration** * Navigate to **Site Administration → Layout → Dashboard Color Palettes**. * This requires **Site Administrator privileges** because changes affect all applications. 2. **Create a New Palette** * Click **+ New** to add a new theme. * Name the palette and optionally set it as the default for your institution. 3. **Define Colors** * Enter **Hexadecimal color codes** for each color in the palette. * Adjust **Color Priority** (sequence in which colors appear in charts/graphs). * Avoid placing similar colors next to each other for better contrast. 4. **Add Hover Colors (Optional)** * Specify a lighter or darker shade for hover states to improve interactivity. 5. **Save and Apply** * Save the palette and apply it to dashboards via the **Themes button** in dashboard edit mode. **Tip:** Your marketing team likely has official brand colors in HEX format—use these for consistency.
